Reminder for Middle School Scholar Bowl team, please bring your shirt order form and money back to Mrs. Darnell by the end of the day tomorrow. Shirts are $10 and can be purchased with cash, or a check written to the school.
Just a reminder that we are on 3pm schedule today 10/27. We will again be on 2pm tomorrow 10/28 for parent/teacher conferences and we have no school for students on Friday the 29th due to teachers in-service.
As many of you know, our friend, colleague, and the Jr. High Social Studies Teacher, Ms. Robin Culbreth, has been battling Covid since the beginning of the school year. She is still facing a long road to recovery. So, we have pulled together and created a fundraiser to help relieve some of Ms. Culbreth’s financial burden.
This year at the Fall Carnival, the proceeds collected from the Silent Auction Baskets will go directly to Ms. Culbreth. So, please come out and bid on the baskets to help Ms. Culbreth.
Also, if you would like to help Ms. Culbreth and don’t want to bid on a basket, you may donate any amount to help. Any donation is appreciated and accepted. Thank you for everyone’s support and help! Our small town makes a big difference!

Congratulations to the 2nd grade Math Mystery Detectives! They solved the Case of the Tricking Treat!
Our 5th grade class has been learning this week in Science all about growing and decomposing. Today 5th grade students sat up two separate experiments, which they will observe over the next 14 days. The first is growing chia seeds in various soil types. Students will watch and learn which types of soil allow the chia seeds to grow the most. The second experiment is observing bread decomposing and how different variables can speed up and slow down mold growth. The students chose to add honey, sugar, salt, and vinegar to the bread to see which molds and decomposes the quickest.

Tues. Oct. 26 is Picture Day! Student's Individual Pictures will be taken that day along with Organizations and Class Groups. No Picture Forms will be sent home prior, you will receive a form and a proof later on for ordering.
The high school volleyball team will be playing in the first round of regionals on Monday 10/25. The game will be held at Edwards County and begins at 6:00pm. Good luck ladies!
