Aaron Wright, a veteran basketball official of 31 years, was honored at Thompsonville before the varsity boys game against Elverado. He was given a Thompsonville Basketball Jersey. He sent out an email earlier this year to the School's ADs and Coaches asking for uniforms from all the different schools to decorate his basement with. Aaron has officiated at the highest level, referring the ISHA State Basketball Tournament three times along with numerous other Super Sectionals, Sectionals, and Regional Finals in his 31 years. He is stepping away. Aaron will be greatly missed in Southern Illinois. Thank you for all you have done for Southern Illinois sports throughout the years!!
